Blach School Dress Code
The purpose of the Dress Code is to maintain an educational setting that keeps us safe and helps us focus on learning. Clothing that is just right for wearing to a party, the mall, the beach, or a dance, may not be appropriate for school.
Guidelines:
- If it's unsafe, you can't wear it. Slippers won't work in PE, for example. Individual teachers will set rules for their classes depending on the activity.
- We do not want to see your underwear. All underwear must be covered by outer clothing. This includes "spaghetti straps", "tank tops", and "athletic shirts".
- Your navel may be adorable, but please do not share it with us. Keep your midriff (the middle outer portion of the front of the human body) covered.
- Clothing with offensive language or pictures, or which refers to alcohol, drugs or tobacco, is unacceptable.
Your cooperation is expected and appreciated.
Repeated infractions are subject to referral.
