I chose Blach school as the topic for my research and development project because it depicts the history of American education. I chose Blach as the school to focus on for many reasons. First of all, both my dad and aunt went to Blach; my mom, Glenda Tofsrud, works there; I have attended it for the last two years; and I've lived across the street from it all of my life. Also, because of its great staff, and long, evolving history. Overall, it is a good example of a typical school in America. Knowing a lot about Blach school, gives you a good understanding about how schooling forty years ago is different than it is now. If Blach didn't exist in America, many children in this area wouldn't have the opportunity to get an education. And without an education they won't be capable of someday being our future leaders. These students didn't receive just a regular education, but a quality education, because Blach earned the rating of a distinguished California school. It isn't only the academic part that makes a school good. It is Blach's spirit, organization, and activities that made it such a excellent environment for Junior high students to grow up in and succeed.
