Georgina P. Blach Intermediate School was first opened September, 1958. It was origionally stated to be named Emerson Junior High. However, in May of 1958, Georgina P. Blach, trustee of Los Altos School board for 17 years, died. Thus changing the name to Gorgina P. Blach School. The school was dedicated on December 11, 1958.
