Updated with most recent on top Added 9/5/10 After school sport games and meets begin this week with our first cross country meet being run at Blach on Weds, Sept 8. The first division (8th grade boys and girls) will start at 4:00. Parent volunteers are greatly appreciated. Girls Softball and Boys Volleyball open their season with games against Cupertino on Thursday, Sept. 9. Both 7th grade teams travel to Cup while the “C” boys volleyball and both 8th grade teams play Cup at home. A reminder to all parents that your son or daughter has to be registered with the rec. dept. in order to participate in games. Also please send in your bus checks for $25. Lastly, there has been a change in the 7 schools that we will bus to for the first season. Since Lawson uses a different site for softball and volleyball we have decided to switch parent drivers to that school and instead bus to Egan on Sept. 21. If your son or daughter is on either the 7th grade girls softball or 7th grade boys volleyball teams then expect an e-mail asking for parent drivers to Lawson on Tues. Sept. 28 as well as Thurs., Sep. 30 to Graham. Added 8/17/10 Boys volleyball and girls softball will be holding tryouts on Monday (8/30) and Tuesday (8/31) after school from 3:00 - 4:30.  Teams will be posted Wednesday morning (9/2) in the locker rooms.  Those who make the teams will be expected to be at practice that day after school.  SIgn ups will take place in the locker rooms during the week of August 24-27. Cross country will have their first workout after school on Monday, August 30.  Participants will meet in Mrs. Honigman’s classroom and then have a short practice till 4:00. All runners are welcome. All schedules are up on the website at this time (you can access them by clicking on “SPORTS” on Blach’s web page).  Los Altos Rec.
